new old way of life

Well we have had a lot of helicopters flying around, and they come down so close so fast they shake the ground. They have to combat land so that the bad guys can't shoot at them, it just basically means they have to nose dive. They come very close to our roof and this is a probably a 10 foot ceiling. I have picture of some of them, these aren't close at all, I think these can just come straight down, so they don't have to nose dive.

The next picture I have is of the inside of the plane that we took from kuwait to here. Not exactly a made for its beauty, and there weren't any complimentary beverages, but up at the front they did have a big orange cooler full of water. I almost forgot, it was REALLY hot in there, there was something wrong with their air and it must have been about 140-150 in the plane, it felt good outside where it was only 110 when we got off.

Thank you too Lauren. Your mom is working on a list of things you, or your fellow soldiers, might need, care packages if you will. Is there anything we here at home can do for you? Do you have any soldier friends that may not get any mail/packages that we could adopt? Thanks again for your service to our country!

And you thought Georgia was hot! You know it means a lot to all of us to see even a small glimpse of your life while you are so far away from us. It makes it just a tiny bit easier. love you - Mom & Dad

Hey Lauren - thanks for doing what you're doing. Thank your mom for sending me via her site! Mom's are the best, aren't they? I have a friend leaving for Iraq in August. He's a CA Highway Patrolman - he's assigned to the air unit as a medic on the helicopter. Not sure what he'll be doing in Iraq, but he's been in the Navy reserves for YEARS.

So when you want some fun reading, stop by my site - www.thebutterflymind.com and you'll learn all about my crazy family. One "rambling" (my stories) you might enjoy right now, since we have some gorgeous flowers in our garden, is this one:

Hope you enjoy - and tell your friends! I'll tell mine about your site.

Be SAFE!

Hi Lauren,

I'm YR (for Yellow Rose). Your Mom is a great friend of mine. I'm in Kerrville TX. Not too far from San Antonio.

I really enjoy getting to see about your life there. I told your Mom I really admire you and all the others who are over there.

One thought though. I saw the pictures of your living area. And I'm stumped. I thought the military was really strict about how neat and orderly everything had to be. And now I see it looks more like a college dorm room!!! :>) What gives. I thought you had to be able to bounce a quarter off your bed. :)

See ya

YR
